Job summary

Divcon Controls, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Field PLC Engineer to design, test, program, and support PLC-based control systems for data centers and critical facilities. The role is hands-on, client-facing, and spans HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

You will work with senior engineers and field teams, travel up to 60%, and help ensure reliable, scalable automation while adhering to standards and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of PLC programming or industrial automation experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50-60%, including extended site assignments.
• Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 or similar PLC platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• OSHA 10 certification current or to be completed within first week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PLC programs for HVAC, central plant, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Implement client requested changes to PLC databases, control sequences, and strategies.
• Configure PLC logic, I/O structures, alarms, and system parameters per project.
• Support field start-up, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Document workflows and adhere to established PLC programming standards.
