Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Lead Field PLC Engineer to guide a team of field PLC engineers in deployment, commissioning, and support of PLC-based control systems for mission-critical data centers. You will act as the primary technical resource and supervisor, ensuring quality execution across multiple projects.

The role requires 40-50% travel to sites, hands-on troubleshooting, and leadership in developing technical standards, training, and client coordination.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PLC programming/engineering with field deployment
• 2+ years in technical leadership or team lead roles
• Expert-level proficiency with Studio 5000 / Rockwell Automation software in field and production environments
• Hands-on experience commissioning complex HVAC, boiler, and central plant systems
• Advanced expertise in redundancy strategies and failover systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex PLC logic, hardware, and networking issues
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of field PLC engineers across multiple projects
• Direct deployment and commissioning of PLC-based control systems for data centers
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC logic on HVAC and electrical systems onsite
• Coordinate field activities with project schedules and client requirements
• Review commissioning plans and changes; ensure quality documentation and client specs
• Provide expert technical guidance during system start-up, turnover, and support
