Job summary

Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Midstream Logistics Pipeline Technician in Tacoma, WA. This hands-on role supports safe, reliable pipeline operations, maintenance, and integrity tasks on-site with on-call responsibilities.

You will monitor flows and product quality using SCADA/PLC, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with control centers, contractors, and field teams. A strong safety focus and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or degree in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with CMMS systems, SCADA, PLCs, and Microsoft Office.
• Must meet DOT/PHMSA Operator Qualification requirements (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and/or TWIC may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain pipeline systems, stations, and associated equipment.
• Track flows, pressures, and product quality using SCADA, PLC, and field instrumentation; perform start-ups, shut-downs, and pigging operations.
• Respond to alarms, abnormal conditions, and emergency events in coordination with the control center.
• Inspect, calibrate, and repair pumps, motors, valves, meters, regulators, and instrumentation equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Maintain documentation in CMMS and ensure accurate reporting of work orders.
• Patrol, inspect, and maintain ROW and pipeline markers; conduct line locates and monitor excavations.
• Calibrate and maintain custody transfer measurement devices; conduct product sampling and quality checks.
• Operate in compliance with DOT/PHMSA, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Complete required OQ tasks and maintain certifications.
