Job summary

OWL Services in New Jersey is seeking a Petroleum Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install and replace petroleum equipment at customer sites. You’ll work independently in the field with the backing of a nationwide service organization.

You’ll perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, complete service calls, document work, and maintain current certifications while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience or technical schooling in mechanical, electrical, or petroleum equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability and willingness to complete required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform petroleum equipment service, troubleshooting, repair, and installation in a professional, safe, and timely manner.
• Diagnose and repair fuel dispensers, hanging hardware, point-of-sale equipment, and related systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Install, repair, and replace dispenser hardware and equipment.
• Complete service calls accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Document work performed and complete job paperwork at the time of service.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide technical assistance and product support.
• Build strong customer relationships by delivering dependable service and solutions.
• Complete required training and maintain current certifications and equipment knowledge.
• Learn and support additional systems and equipment at customer locations.
• Manage multiple service calls and priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
• Work independently while collaborating with dispatch, customers, technicians, and management.
• Follow all company, customer, and safety procedures.
