Job summary

Carbon Robotics is seeking a Performance Quality Technician to diagnose and resolve systemic data issues in our high-resolution imagery dataset. You will work directly with farmers, collect field feedback, and coordinate with support, Deep Learning, engineering, and field teams to drive rapid, effective resolutions and keep customers operating smoothly.

Qualifications

• Education or professional experience in Agronomy or Farming is required.
• Strong understanding of agricultural industry practices, operations and culture.
• Data annotation experience desired.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Highly organized with strong time management to handle multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset with customers and internal teams.
• High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reporting.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Confluence preferred.
• Ability to identify high-risk situations and make safe decisions based on process.
• Willingness to travel to farms 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Gain deep understanding of system operation and potential failure modes.
• Audit data to ensure clean, appropriate datasets.
• Collaborate with support to investigate issues and ensure data integrity.
• Validate solutions, document results and capture customer feedback.
• Translate field tests and model issues into actionable improvements.
• Prepare cases for field personnel reviewing labels and predictions.
• Identify performance issues and work with engineers on solutions.
• Conduct field experiments to improve system performance.
