Job summary

ARA is seeking engineering technicians to join our pavement testing teams in Champaign, IL and other locations. You will participate in data collection and analysis, travel about 50% of the time, and learn to operate modern data collection equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a DOT physical.
• Excellent driving skills and ability to drive long distances.
• Willing to travel, occasionally for weeks at a time.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and nights; overtime as needed.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pavement testing and data collection projects across the U.S.
• Learn operation, calibration, and maintenance of data collection equipment.
• Drive or operate data collection systems, including vehicles and trailers.
• Process, compare, and analyze data using proprietary tools and Excel.
