Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to perform patient fitting and training for wearable defibrillator systems in the Cincinnati North, OH area.

The role functions as a local patient care representative within the sales support team. The APS will be trained and certified, with duties including patient instruction, scheduling with prescribers and caregivers, and travel to hospitals and homes.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background such as nurses, device sales reps, cath lab techs, or ECG techs.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Background check completed; Ohio requires level 2 screening paid by Kestra.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing during a 90-day probation.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to work in the field across the region; disclose relationships.
• Credentialing for hospital systems including vaccination status, background check, drug screen, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with the ASSURE wearable defibrillator as an APS.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in ASSURE patients.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers, and patients to schedule services.
• Accept daytime, evening, and weekend assignments; travel to sites.
• Measure patients to determine garment size and fit.
• Process paperwork to receive the ASSURE garment and services.
• Manage inventory of ASSURE kits, garments, and equipment.
• Adhere to confidentiality pledges and internal policies.
