Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to conduct patient fittings in support of the sales organization and Regional Clinical Advisors.

The APS acts as the local patient care representative to provide effective and efficient fittings in the community. The role requires travel to hospitals and patients' homes, strong patient-care skills, and the ability to work flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• 1 year of paid patient care experience
• Clinical or engineering background including nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, catheterization lab techs, physician assistants, or ECG technicians
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable)
• Background check required; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening paid by Kestra
• Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from completed work order
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Ability to work in the field in and around the region; disclosures for relationships/referrals
• Credentialing for hospital system entry; vaccination/immunization docs; pass background check; pass drug screening; complete HIPAA/Bloodborne Pathogens/Electrical/Fire Safety courses

Responsibilities

• Act as a contractor ASSURE Patient Specialist to fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in ASSURE patients with demonstrated patient care skills.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Accept assignments including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals, patients' homes and other healthcare facilities for fittings.
• Measure patients to determine garment size.
• Review and transmit paperwork to receive the ASSURE garment and services.
• Manage inventory of kit garments and electronics used in fittings.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies.
