Fabcon in Michigan is seeking a Field Patching Crew Member for the Central Region. This permanent/full-time role runs 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and focuses on finishing concrete panels with patching and general labor.

You will join a crew, complete tasks safely, follow foreperson directions, and perform additional field duties as needed. Overtime may be available, and travel is extensive.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required; concrete finishing experience preferred.
• General knowledge of construction practices; 2+ years of construction or manual labor preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms.
• Ability to obtain membership in a local union.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.
• Ability to traverse uneven ground, move materials weighing at least 50 pounds, and climb onto flatbed semi-trailers.

Responsabilités

• Perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor necessary to finish precast concrete panels.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a patching crew.
• Follow work direction provided by the Patching Crew Foreperson.
• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.
• Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.
