Job summary

Polaris Modular in Utah is seeking a Painting Technician to perform interior and exterior painting and finishing tasks within our modular construction production line. You will prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, patching, priming, and cleaning, then apply paint, stain, and finishes to meet project specifications.

You will read basic layouts, operate painting tools safely, verify finish quality, maintain clean work areas, and support production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist other trades and departments during slow production periods as needed.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and field locations as needed.

The Painting Technician performs painting and finishing tasks within the modular construction production process. This position requires the ability to complete assigned painting duties with limited supervision while maintaining company quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Physical Requirements

This position is performed in an active construction, manufacturing, and warehouse environment and requires the ability to safely perform general labor and production support activities throughout the workday.

Employees in this position may be required to:

• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
• Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
• Perform general construction, warehouse, and production support activities
• Frequently move throughout production and storage areas
• Use hand tools, equipment, and material handling devices as needed
• Lift, carry, move, and handle construction materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
• Perform tasks involving manual labor and repetitive physical activity
• Work around active equipment, machinery, and moving materials
• Climb steps or ladders and access different work areas as needed
• Maintain productivity and safety standards in a fast-paced operational environment
• Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
