Job summary

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Community Outreach Specialist/Drug Checker in Harvey, IL. You will conduct outreach to people who use drugs, educate on overdose prevention, and help connect individuals to treatment and resources.

Responsibilities include field-based spectrometer testing with FTIR, logging data, and collaborating with external drug-checking experts. Work schedule Mon-Fri, 7:00a-3:30p, pay $20.00-$21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with substance use and recovery preferred.
• CRSS certification and MAT knowledge are a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to people who use drugs and to those experiencing homelessness.
• Educate on overdose prevention and distribute overdose prevention supplies.
• Develop referrals to Family Guidance Centers and other providers; log data from field activities.
