Job summary
Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Specialty Mechanical-Welding Engineer II for Field Outage Services to lead welding-focused repair and upgrade projects in the field. This role requires strong multitasking, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and travel to customer sites for turbine outage work.
The candidate should have a BS in Welding or Metallurgical Engineering with at least five years of onsite outage experience, and be proficient in TIG, MIG and SMAW welding, plus automated TIG systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding or Metallurgical Engineering and 5+ years of onsite turbine outage support.
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and procedures.
- Experience with automated TIG welding systems and SAW processes.
- Proficiency with MS Office, project management tools and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead repair and upgrade projects in the field for turbine outage maintenance.
- Develop welding procedures (WPS) for various materials and applications.
- Lead Welding Training program for internal welders.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage subcontractors.
- Ensure quality workmanship and safety in all field activities.
