Job summary

onenergy is seeking a field-facing Systems Engineer to deploy and support operational technology networks for utility-scale battery energy storage projects. The role ensures secure, reliable communications among control systems, energy-management platforms, power-conversion equipment, and remote monitoring services.

You will install and configure industrial network infrastructure, validate connectivity during commissioning, implement segmentation, VLANs, routing, VPNs, and secure remote access,

Qualifications

• Experience deploying OT or industrial networks in power, utilities, or similar field.
• Strong TCP/IP fundamentals with hands-on experience with industrial switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, or energy-management systems.
• Willingness to travel to project sites up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure industrial network infrastructure at project sites.
• Support commissioning by validating connectivity across control, protection, metering, monitoring, and storage systems.
• Implement network segmentation, VLANs, routing, VPNs, and secure remote access for OT.
• Troubleshoot networking, software, controls, and system integration during commissioning and early ops.
• Coordinate with deployment, controls, energy-management, and field teams to resolve blockers.
• Support site acceptance testing, handover, and documentation.
