Job summary

Jupiter Power is seeking a Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and support of secure, high-availability OT networks for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will own the architect, document, and implement OT at datacenters and site networks enabling grid-compliant operation of large-scale energy storage assets.

This role blends hands-on field engineering with system design, cybersecurity alignment, and cross-functional leadership in high-voltage utility

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Cyber Security, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years designing and supporting industrial or critical-infrastructure networks.
• Experience in OT, utility, or industrial control system environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain OT and industrial network architectures for utility-scale BESS sites.
• Lead network planning and deployment for greenfield and brownfield projects, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, and segmentation.
• Configure and support industrial switches, routers, firewalls, and remote access solutions.
• Ensure reliable and secure communications between SCADA systems, plant controllers, PCS, meters, and protection equipment.
• Lead network commissioning, testing, site acceptance activities for network systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network, latency, and communication issues in live utility environments.
• Develop and maintain network standards, documentation, and diagrams.
• Support OT cybersecurity requirements, utility standards, and regulatory frameworks including NERC CIP.
