Job summary

Progress Residential in Tampa seeks a Field Operations Specialist to ensure vacant homes are secure and market-ready. You will walk properties, perform inspections, re-key before resident move-in, and coordinate with maintenance and leasing teams to keep homes move-in ready.

This role requires high school diploma, at least 1 year in property maintenance or inspections, reliable transportation, and comfort with technology (Salesforce and Yardi a plus).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in property management or maintenance/inspections preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Property maintenance/repair skills preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable with technology; Salesforce and Yardi knowledge a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Walk assigned homes to ensure vacant on-market homes are move-in ready.
• Conduct quality control, move-in inspections, home curation, and cataloging.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., change batteries, light bulbs, filters).
• Prepare homes for move-in: re-key, remove signs, reprogram garage remotes.
• Submit vacant service requests as needed.
• Do light cleaning to present asset well for new residents.
• Verify utilities are connected and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Ensure Smart Home systems are operational and follow security policies.
• Install/Remove portable lockboxes where applicable.
• Photograph and communicate home status to team members.
