Job summary

WM is seeking a Landfill Supervisor II based in the US with regular field duties and 40% office time. The role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations at closed landfill sites, travel up to 60% and supervising 4-6 contractors across projects.

You will review invoices, interpret data for regulatory responses, and work as part of the Environmental Legacy team to keep operations safe and compliant. Strong adaptability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

College degree in a STEM field is preferred but not required.
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
OSHA 1910 HazWoper and general first aid training or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Proficiency with MS Office and Power BI; ability to learn other technical software.

Responsibilities

Supervise 4–6 contractors and site staff across multiple projects to ensure quality and timeliness.
Oversee operations, maintenance, and construction activities; monitor permitting and compliance.
Track budgets, review invoices, and ensure cost efficiency and safety.
Maintain site knowledge of landfill gas, leachate, water treatment, and monitoring systems.
Prepare timely reports and respond to regulatory requirements with clear documentation.
