Job summary

Pronto is seeking a seasoned Field Operations Manager for on-site deployments across the United States. You will bridge Pronto's autonomous haulage technology with daily mine operations, leading a high-performing technical team and ensuring safety, schedule, and performance commitments are met.

The role requires 15+ years of mining experience, 5-10 years in leadership, and a proven track record of technology rollouts. Travel up to 75% across the U.S. with on-site housing provided.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of direct mining experience.
• 5-10 years in a leadership role on-site.
• Proven track record in technology rollouts (autonomy, remote ops, telematics).
• University Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Ability to command respect on-site and influence customer decisions.
• Strong adaptability to transition mines to tech-enabled operations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication with executives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects to defined performance metrics and success criteria, ensuring seamless integration into the mine's production cycle.
• Lead the local field team, overseeing permitting, scheduling, safety compliance, and overall performance.
• Hold the customer accountable for resource commitments, machine availability, and site readiness.
• Serve as the central communication hub between the customer site and Pronto HQ, providing progress reports and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with customers to set up or modify operating processes for autonomous haulage.
• Lead customer training programs and manage the formal handover of the system.
