Job summary

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our Austin team to support field operations on active and upcoming projects valued in the hundreds of millions.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage material deliveries, and help ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion from startup through closeout. The role requires at least 2 years as a Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent in commercial construction, with a bachelor’s degree preferred in

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills essential for field operations.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries.
• Ensure incoming materials are inspected for quantity and quality and documentation is accurate.
• Support coordination, scheduling, and management of subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist with expediting subcontractors and vendors and resolving construction challenges.
• Maintain timekeeping records and support project cost tracking.
