Job summary

Epoch Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Austin team and support the Project Superintendent and Project Manager on commercial construction projects.

You will help oversee site quality, safety, scheduling, coordination, and communications from pre-construction through project completion, reporting directly to the Project Superintendent. This role emphasizes teamwork and efficient project execution to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in commercial construction or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Superintendent and Project Manager to execute commercial projects.
• Assist with job site setup, logistics, coordination, and scheduling.
• Review project documents for constructability and accuracy.
• Maintain project records (RFIs, submittals, ASIs).
• Develop site-specific action plans with PM and Superintendent.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections with authorities and subs.
• Conduct daily site walks and prepare field reports.
• Attend project and coordination meetings.
• Support daily production and project performance tracking.
• Utilize project management and scheduling software to aid execution.
