Job summary

Rwdy-Inc is seeking a Field Operator II or III – Water Transfer Tech in Midland, TX. This 100% field-based role oversees water-transfer operations, ensuring safe execution and adherence to procedures while coordinating with contractors and site personnel.

Experience: 2–5 years in water-transfer/field operations is preferred. Level II or III depends on experience. Initial schedule is 5/2, with future shifts and 40 hours/week plus OT possible.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide field oversight of water-transfer operations from pipelines to receiver sites.
• Oversee rig-up and rig-down activities for water-transfer operations.
• Support water-transfer activities at frac pads, construction, drilling, and completions.
• Manage field water lines, hose, poly pipe, connections, pumps and equipment.
• Oversee pond-to-pond and supply-to-receiver transfers.
• Supervise contractors in the field and ensure work is performed to plan.
• Verify tools and equipment usage complies with procedures and standards.
• Support safety program compliance (PSMS/WMS) expectations.

• Initial Schedule: 5/2, Monday–Friday, 8-hour days


• Future Schedule: 8/6, 10-hour days, Thursday pivot day


• 40 hours/week with OT upon approval

Scope

The Field Operator II or III – Water Transfer Tech is a 100% field-based position providing ExxonMobil oversight of water-transfer operations supporting construction, drilling, completions, and other field activities. The position requires 2–5 years of relevant water-transfer/field operations experience, with Level II or Level III determined based on the candidate's experience.

This role requires hands-on knowledge of field-based water-transfer systems, water lines, hose and poly systems, pond-to-pond transfers, frac-pad operations, and rig-up/rig-down activities. The Water Transfer Tech will provide direct field oversight of contractors, ensuring crews are using the proper tools, equipment, procedures, and safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field oversight of water-transfer operations from supply-water pipelines, ponds, and other water sources to receiver sites.


• Attend and oversee rig-up and rig-down (RU/RD) activities for water-transfer operations.


• Support water-transfer activities associated with frac pads, construction, drilling, and completions.


• Work with and oversee field water lines, hose, poly pipe, connections, pumps, and associated water-transfer equipment.


• Support pond-to-pond and supply-to-receiver-site water transfers.


• Bird-dog contractors in the field, providing active oversight of contractor activities and work execution.


• Verify contractors are using the correct tools and equipment and following established procedures and standards.


• Support and perform verification and validation of contractor compliance with ExxonMobil safety-program expectations, including PSMS and WMS requirements.


• Serve as the Water Management/Water Transfer representative at receiver sites.


• Monitor water-transfer systems and check lines, connections, equipment, and transfer points for leaks.


• Verify setup readiness for third-party sales activities.


• Verify connections, equipment, metering, and overall system readiness and integrity.


• Support diesel-extract activities as required.


• Maintain a strong field presence and coordinate with contractors and site personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution.


• No EFT/Open Ticket responsibilities.

Experience Requirements

2–5 years of relevant experience is required/ideal, with direct water-transfer experience strongly desired. Candidates should have practical field experience with water-transfer operations, including rig-ups/rig-downs, frac pads, water lines, hose/poly systems, pond-to-pond transfers, contractor oversight, and safe equipment/tool usage.
