MAIN FUNCTIONS
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet the daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource management.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement daily work objectives, maintain housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards.
- Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings, reporting safety issues.
- Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operations.
- Perform simple maintenance activities as an Equipment Care Technician, utilizing maintenance skills.
- Report system outages, alarms, emergencies, or shutdowns promptly.
- Provide detailed, clear, and accurate shift change information to ensure operational continuity.
- Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
- Document all relevant operational events, abnormal situations, or deviations in the logbook.
- Collect samples for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests.
- Participate in emergency response activities actively.
- Report incidents internally and escalate as per Incident Reporting Guidelines.
- Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed and consulted about operational activities.
- Maintain good communication within the team to address issues effectively.
- Provide basic information regarding well production problems, current production rates, and well conditions.
- Ensure thorough diagnostics of well problems before requesting Well Work interventions.
- Maintain wellhead and surface equipment in good working order before and during Wellwork operations.
- Assist and support ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Completed secondary education and previous experience as a Field Technician.
