Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Killdeer, North Dakota is seeking a maintenance-focused operator to monitor and maintain remote crude stations, valve sites, and pipelines. You will perform daily operational duties related to gathering and transporting crude liquids, including preventative maintenance and testing to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment, including filter vessels, environmental controls, pumps, crude gathering systems, and central tank batteries.
• Gauges tanks and checks pump action to maintain pipeline pressure within guidelines.
• Collects fluid/ crude samples and conducts production and fluid tests.
• Provides maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
• Practice awareness concerning issues of health, safety and the environment.
• OQ-covered responsibilities similar to Pigging Technicians, Pipeline Operators, and Corrosion Technicians.
