Job summary

SLB is seeking a Workforce Coordinator to manage short- to mid-term workforce planning for Field Engineers, Field Specialists, and Field Operators. You will coordinate resources in iDistrict/JMP/FDP, assign profiles to confirmed jobs, and ensure competency alignment with forecasts and plans.

Responsibilities include tracking start/end dates, reviewing competency requirements, and liaising with PSD management to optimize staffing and contingencies.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in workforce coordination, resource scheduling, dispatching, or related roles.
• Experience supporting a field/operations organization with rotations/coverage planning.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including filters, pivots, and basic formulas.
• High attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize under time pressure and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Track job start/end dates in planning systems to coordinate scheduling and mobilization.
• Identify required competency profiles and review allocations with PSD Management.
• Assign employees to jobs in planning systems and trigger notifications.
• Evaluate local client competency requirements to ensure compliance.
• Ensure assignments align with field employee management plans.
• When plans are unavailable, coordinate with HR/OI to address gaps.
• Review workforce availability and coordinate with planning for balance.
• Balance rest, vacation, and rig days to meet schedules.
• Control crew size/crew composition for area of responsibility.
• Initiate risk assessments for high-risk short-term jobs.
• Develop contingencies for short-term horizons and drive synergies.
