Job summary

AdvanSix in Virginia seeks an experienced process/maintenance operator to oversee caprolactam conversion, hydrolysis, condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, progressing to blending and packaging. You will monitor utility systems, ensure quality and SOP conformance, and uphold safety standards.

The role requires a 8-hour rotating shift, strong communication, and teamwork in a heavy manufacturing environment. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience or an technical/science degree.
• Willing to work 8-hour rotating shifts including holidays, weekends and overtime.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Control caprolactam conversion from hydrolysis to blending/packaging.
• Operate and monitor multiple utility systems.
• Adjust controls to meet quality targets and SOPs.
• Maintain safety and emergency procedures.
• Prevent spills and protect the environment.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
