Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Richmond, VA to manage the conversion of caprolactam, operate support systems, and ensure safety and quality in daily production. The role emphasizes teamwork and communication and requires you to work an 8‑hour rotating shift including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED.
3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field.
Must be willing to work an 8-hour rotating shift that includes holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Maintain control of the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.
Maintain control of multiple utility systems to support operation areas.
Monitor control information for an area and adjust to operate equipment and facilities safely and in compliance with SOPs.
Support safety standards and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
Prevent spills and protect the environment.
Perform minor maintenance tasks.
