Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a manufacturing operator to oversee the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging. The role requires adherence to safety standards and precise process control in a busy production environment.

You will monitor equipment and utility systems, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with team members to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; technical/ science degree preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience or related technical background.
• Willingness to work an 8-hour rotating shift including holidays and weekends.
• Proficiency with a computer (Word/Excel) and good communication.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of caprolactam conversion through hydrolysis, poly condensation, extrusion, leaching and drying.
• Finish into blending and packaging while ensuring quality.
• Operate multiple utility systems to support operations.
• Monitor control information and adjust as needed for safety and SOP compliance.
• Follow safety procedures, prevent spills and protect the environment.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks; adapt to additional responsibilities.
