Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking candidates for a manufacturing role at our Midlothian, Virginia facility. The position involves controlling caprolactam processing through hydrolysis, condensation, extrusion, and packaging, while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Applicants should have 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science-related field, plus proficiency with Word and Excel and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED or equivalent is not stated; 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field.
• Must be willing and able to work an 8-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtime.
• Proficiency with a computer, including programs such as Word and Excel.
• Must be able to complete a background check and drug test successfully.
• Must have strong communication skills and be willing to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.
• Maintain control of multiple utility systems to support the operation areas.
• Monitor control information for an area and make adjustments as necessary to operate equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
• Responsible for preventing spills and adhering to our commitment to protect the environment
• Perform minor maintenance work
• Additional responsibilities as needed
