Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a field network technician to cover a MS territory. You will maintain fiber networks, install and check routers at customer sites, and perform regular cell-site maintenance every 30–60 days.

The role requires physical work, driving your own vehicle with mileage logs, and eligibility for a company vehicle and cell phone after permanent hire. Candidates should have hands-on experience with routers, switches, and Windows, plus a technical background in networking or

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor and handle cabinets or large equipment.
• Knowledge of generator and transfer switch operation.
• Experience with microwave systems (Licensed & Unlicensed).
• Ability to test batteries.
• Proficiency with a digital multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fiber networks and perform router installs at customer sites.
• Conduct regular maintenance on cell sites every 30–60 days.
• Drive personal vehicle and log mileage for reimbursement; company vehicle provided after permanent hire.

Job Description

This candidate will join a team to cover their own territory in MS. They will be responsible for maintaining fiber networks. They will also go out to customer sites and do router installs and perform general router checks. They also provide maintenance on cell sites every 30-60 days as needed. This role does require some physical labor, so need to be okay with handling cabinet batteries or other large equipment. They will drive their own personal vehicle and record a mileage log to be reimbursed for miles driven. Once brought on perm they will get a company vehicle and cell phone.

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of generator and transfer switch operation
• Demonstrate microwave experience (Licensed & Unlicensed)
• Test batteries
• Use digital muti-meter
