City of Houston seeks a supervisor for the Houston Water/Wastewater Operations: Heavy Equipment/Vactor Support Group, located at 7440 Cullen Boulevard. You will organize maintenance crews, assign tasks, monitor operations, and drive city vehicles as needed to ensure reliable service.

The role requires 4 years in maintenance, a high school diploma (or GED), and may accept a related Bachelor's degree in substitution. A Texas Class C license may be needed; veteran preferences apply.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in the maintenance field are required.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement.
• May require a valid Texas Class "C" driver's license and compliance with City of Houston driving policy.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate and direct activities of maintenance groups providing collection system, wastewater treatment plant and lift station services.
• Organize and assign work for maintenance crews; monitor progress and ensure equipment is functioning.
• Train new employees and maintain attendance records; prepare performance evaluations and production reports.
