Job summary

Southwest Florida Water Management District is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to lead a team responsible for maintaining conservation lands and infrastructure in the Tampa area. The role oversees land maintenance, fence replacement, recreation mowing, and inspection schedules for district roads and data sites.

The position supports emergency response before, during, and after hurricanes, wildfires, and floods, and coordinates with contractors to ensure safe, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 4 years related work experience (Equivalent combination of experience and education accepted)
• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years related work experience; 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and evaluate field staff in daily operational and land-management activities.
• Oversee maintenance and repair tasks on assets such as fences, roads, water control structures, bridges and campgrounds.
• Maintain disc lines? and support prescribed burns.
