Job summary

Terracon is seeking a supervisor to oversee a team of engineering technicians performing field and laboratory testing, sampling, and site assessments on engineering projects. You will provide direct oversight, guidance, and instruction, coordinate testing, scheduling, and training of field staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or geology. Candidates should have 4–6 years of relevant experience and at least 3 years of supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology or a technical discipline preferred.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in field/testing environments.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to technical field staff in the performance of testing services.
• Provide daily monitoring and progress of current and upcoming projects.
• Maintain project schedule status and communicate with managers on resource needs.
• Plan, schedule and dispatch staff to project sites based on skills and location.
• Communicate with clients regarding project timelines and status.
• Monitor testing to ensure compliance with plans and specifications; provide guidance.
