Job summary

Terracon seeks a qualified supervisor to manage day-to-day activities of a team of Engineering Technicians and field staff involved in construction materials testing. The role includes oversight of testing, scheduling, client communication, and safety leadership on client sites or in office laboratories.

The candidate will coordinate testing, ensure adherence to project plans, and assist with proposals and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geology preferred.
• Minimum 4-6 years’ relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to technical field staff in testing services.
• Provide daily monitoring and progress of current and upcoming projects.
• Maintain project schedule status and communicate with managers on resource needs.
• Plan, schedule and dispatch staff to project sites based on skill set.
• Communicate with clients regarding project timelines and status.
• Monitor testing to ensure it meets project plans and specs; provide guidance.
• Lead safety efforts and promote pre-task planning.
• Participate in proposals and cost estimates to clients.
• Recruitment and selection of technical field staff.
