Job summary

San Antonio Water System in Texas seeks a Superintendent to lead field crews within Engineering & Construction and Distribution & Collection Operations. This is a working supervisory role responsible for managing financial, physical, and human resources in accordance with safety guidelines.

The position requires coordinating field activities, overseeing training, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher plus five years’ progressive experience in construction, water, or wastewater with supervisory experience.
• TCEQ Class “C” Water Distribution Operator License within 24 months of hire.
• TCEQ Class “III” Wastewater Collection Operator License within 24 months of hire.
• Valid Class “C” Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Routinely conducts work in the system with supervision over field crews.
• Forecasts, allocates, and monitors resources (human, physical, financial).
• Plans, monitors, and reports field activities for system construction and rehabilitation.
• Trains staff on safety and technical practices; develops SOPs to optimize performance.
• Performs utility calculations and supports special projects.
