Job summary

Chevron Shale & Tight Business Unit is seeking a Field Specialist to operate in Keene, ND, focusing on monitoring equipment performance data to optimize wells and facilities while maximizing cash flow and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include safe work practices, incident reporting, PPE use, shift handoffs, data capture with SAP/ODR, and collaboration with IOC/night teams to drive well and facility optimization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Industrial/oilfield experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft, SAP).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in safe work practices and start work checks.
  • Immediate reporting and documentation of incidents and spills.
  • Maintain and properly use PPE.
  • Collaborate with team leaders at the start of the shift and before leaving the field.
  • Complete effective handoff communications between back-to-backs and with IOC/night operations.
  • Perform equipment surveillance and provide first-level response.
  • Operate equipment and manage process controls and flow (start-up, shut down).
  • Capture work activities using digital tools and software (EBS, SAP, ODR).
  • Ensure accuracy of production and injection reporting.
