Field Operations Specialist – Scooter Fleet

Job summary

Lime is seeking an Operations Specialist in Los Angeles to support daily operations, including deploying and retrieving our fleet of electric vehicles. You will work outdoors, lift up to 65 lbs, and engage with the community while ensuring safety and vehicle readiness.

Responsibilities include maintenance, safety checks, and assisting with events and logistics. A valid driver license and ability to work varied shifts are required; iOS apps experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver license and good driving record.
• Experience in a similar position with knowledge of the local geography.
• Ability to drive large vans and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg frequently.
• Knowledge of cell phone applications; iOS experience preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks.
• Safety-oriented mindset with rigorous quality checks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members, riders, and city officials.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van for deployment and retrieval of Lime vehicles in the local market.
• Interact with the local community and assess safety while de-escalating when needed.
• Address city requests related to stickers, reflectors, and other minor issues per SLAs.
• Maintain communication with team members, shift lead, and manager.
• Support Lime events, valet services, and safety reviews while keeping vehicles clean.
• Support battery management with proper documentation and safety checks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs such as brake adjustments and tire inflation; assist with scooter rotation and warehouse flow.
• Monitor zones to ensure parking compliance and tidiness per city requests.
• Detect and report uncommon on-ground service or product issues.
• Assist customers in the field with Lime vehicles as needed.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure rider safety.
• May operate a pallet jack or push cart as needed.
• Any additional job-related tasks as assigned.
