Job summary

Tallgrass in Wyoming seeks an entry-level Pipeline Operations Technician to install, operate, and maintain gas/liquid pipelines, compressor/pump stations, terminals and related facilities. You will participate in the Company Damage Prevention Program and maintain OQ readiness through structured training.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, valid driver’s license, and ability to work non-traditional hours while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to achieve and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ).
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license required with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressors and auxiliary equipment.
• Start, stop and operate engines/pumps within defined parameters.
• Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, valves and instruments.
• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe and pipeline appurtenances.
• Oversee safety and environmental practices during excavation near pipelines.
• Inspect third-party construction as directed.
