Job summary

Bassett Mechanical is seeking an Operations Coordinator to coordinate workforce schedules and provide administrative support for fabrication and field operations. This role administers the scheduling system, maintains workforce assignments, and supports manpower forecasting in collaboration with Field Operations Managers and HR.

The position requires strong Excel/Office skills, excellent organization, and clear communication to ensure timely updates and accurate staffing for projects and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience supporting construction, service, manufacturing, fabrication, project coordination, or workforce scheduling is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the company scheduling platform, including workforce assignments and labor availability.
• Build and maintain shop and field workforce schedules based on direction from Field Operations Managers and Shop Superintendents.
• Coordinate schedule changes and communicate updates to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Manage employee vacations, planned absences, travel coordination, and other resource constraints.
• Support manpower forecasting activities for fabrication and field operations.
• Coordinate staffing for large projects, service work, and unplanned operational needs.
• Maintain understanding of union labor agreements and staffing practices to support scheduling.
