Job summary

Brown's Tree Service is seeking a strong, highly organized Business Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations for a growing tree service and storm-response company in Topeka, Kansas. This role requires coordinating crews, equipment, scheduling, and jobs while keeping people accountable and focused on profitability.

You will work with owners, sales staff, field supervisors, and office personnel to ensure staffing, timeliness, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily business and field operations
• Coordinate scheduling of crews, equipment, trucks, and jobs
• Ensure crews are staffed and prepared each day
• Track job progress, hours, and completion
• Monitor revenue and productivity goals
• Collaborate with owners, sales, field supervisors, and office staff
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and downtime
• Identify scheduling or operational issues early
• Verify timekeeping, job information, and field paperwork
• Control overtime, labor and equipment costs
• Ensure completed work is billed
• Support storm-response deployments as needed
• Maintain office-field communication
• Develop and enforce systems, procedures and accountability
• Assist with hiring and employee performance issues
• Keep ownership informed of priorities and performance
