Job summary

Wilkinson Companies is seeking a Purchaser in Rockland, MA to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are ready for service and installation teams. You will work with field staff, warehouses, and vendors to place accurate orders, track deliveries, and resolve supply issues.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, especially in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical contracting, plus strong organization and communication skills. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or construction.
• Equivalent experience coordinating materials, vendors, and orders for field teams will also be considered.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Clear communication and the ability to shift priorities when field needs change.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes, process material requests, and place and track purchase orders.
• Coordinate deliveries with vendors, the warehouse, and field teams to support project schedules.
• Follow up on backorders and resolve order, pricing, delivery, warranty, and credit issues.
• Monitor inventory and help track job materials and equipment.
• Build strong vendor relationships and look for ways to improve cost and purchasing processes.
• Based on experience, manage an assigned purchasing program such as fleet, tools, or a product line.
