Job summary

Forged Fiber in Minnesota is seeking a Field Support Administrator to plan, coordinate, and support OSP fiber projects, including FTTx and GPON, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery. You will work cross-functionally with Field Operations, Engineering, and contractors, travel 30–40%, and uphold USDA RUS standards and ForgedFiber37 requirements.

The role combines site work with office coordination in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in OSP/ISP construction, engineering support, or project coordination.
• Experience with fiber network deployments (FTTx, GPON) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of underground, buried, and aerial fiber construction and related infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to travel 30–40%.
• Working knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Field Operations and contractors to support project planning, execution, and restoration.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through invoicing/completion.
• Ensure activities align with timelines, scope, and company standards.
• Inspect OSP work and contractor performance for quality and compliance.
• Review engineering prints, standards documentation, and installation procedures.
• Provide field feedback to improve design effectiveness and constructability.
• Update on project status, risks, and issues; escalate where needed.
• Approve contractor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Support contract compliance and vendor performance oversight.
• Maintain accurate project records in applicable systems.
