Job summary

Service Experts in Scarborough, Maine is looking for a skilled Plumbing/HVAC Manager to oversee installation and service crews, manage the production schedule, and ensure compliance with permits. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman or Master License and at least 6 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Install/Service/Electrical Managers and respective crews.
• Work directly with Commercial Sales and RSCs to schedule availability.
• Manage production schedule and assign technicians to maximize productivity.
• Verify and file all permits for jobs.
• Track technician performance, monitor areas for improvement.
• Ensure field technicians complete their assigned tasks.
• Provide training and process improvement support to technicians.
• Coordinate project schedules with different departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Install/Service/Electrical Managers and respective crews
• Work directly with Commercial Sales and RSCs and Managers to schedule and communicate availability
• Work with Install and Service Managers to manage the production schedule—monitor upcoming work to be performed in order to schedule and assign technicians and/or crews to maximize productivity
• Verify all jobs have had permits pulled and file all permits accordingly
• Work with Install and Service Managers to track technician performance—monitor for areas of improvement and reward technicians for going above and beyond
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of all installation jobs
• Ensure field technicians are performing and completing their assigned tasks
• Work with techs in the field for training needs and process improvements
• Provide support to make sure all disciplines operate the same way and utilize processes of Pine State Services
• Normal Install Job Project Manager responsibilities: work with RSCs to ensure the project matches the sale, keep the job on schedule and budget, coordinate scheduling with I.C. and I.M., conduct site visits, track change orders
• Commercial Scale Job Project Manager responsibilities: work with Commercial Sales Advisor to ensure alignment with sale, keep on schedule and budget, coordinate scheduling with I.C. and I.M., conduct site visits, hold job site meetings with G.C. and site foreman, track change orders
• Field support to all technicians in field, service, install, electrical, PM
• This position is required to be on‑call
