This hands-on leadership and project management role translates contracts, scopes, and service expectations into clear labor plans, crew schedules, equipment needs, and field priorities to deliver safe, profitable results.

You will coach field managers, align people and assets, monitor hours and profitability, and drive continuous improvement

Brilar is seeking a decisive, field focused Branch Operations Manager to lead commercial landscape and snow operations from planning through execution. This is a hands on leadership and project management role for someone who can turn scopes, budgets, labor plans, and service commitments into safe, profitable, high quality field results. The right leader will strengthen daily production, develop field managers, improve accountability, and keep people, equipment, materials, and schedules aligned across the branch.

What You Will Lead

• Own branch production planning and field execution for landscape maintenance, enhancements, and seasonal snow and ice operations.
• Translate contracts, scopes, budgets, and service expectations into clear labor plans, crew schedules, equipment assignments, material needs, and field priorities.
• Manage projects and recurring work from pre-production planning through closeout, monitoring labor hours, job progress, quality, documentation, and profitability.
• Build efficient snow response plans that maximize staffing and equipment readiness while controlling unnecessary labor, material, and equipment expense.
• Review field performance and property quality, identify gaps early, and drive corrective action before service issues affect the client relationship.
• Partner with the Branch Manager on short- and long-range operating plans, capacity needs, financial performance, and continuous improvement priorities.

Team Asset and Safety Leadership

• Lead, coach, and hold Field Operations Managers accountable for staffing, scheduling, productivity, quality, safety, and timely results.
• Develop practical training for field leaders and crews that improves leadership, onboarding, operational consistency, compliance, and safe work practices.
• Oversee the readiness, appearance, safe use, care, and maintenance coordination of branch vehicles, equipment, and other assigned assets.
• Use operational data and company systems to right-size crews, compare planned versus actual hours, identify performance trends, and improve margins.
• Coordinate effectively with Account Management, Fleet, HR, Finance, executive leadership, vendors, service partners, and government agencies.
• Ensure incidents and injuries are reported immediately, support root-cause reviews, and maintain safe working conditions for employees, clients, the public, and the environment.

Requirements

What You Bring

• 5+ years of management-level experience in commercial landscape maintenance, landscape enhancements, and snow removal operations.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple crews, field managers, production schedules, and concurrent landscape projects or service portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of production management, labor planning, job costing, fleet readiness, quality control, and operational financial principles.
• The ability to move confidently between strategic planning, project details, field problem-solving, and direct team accountability.
• Strong written, verbal, meeting, and professional communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems; experience with Aspire, GPS tracking, Paylocity, or Concur is strongly valued.
• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, insurability, and a current DOT medical card or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to meet testing requirements, work outdoors in varied conditions, operate power equipment, repeatedly bend and walk, and lift more than 50 pounds.
• Winter availability with the flexibility to be on call around the clock during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
