Job summary

Blue Collar Scholars LLC is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to oversee residential construction projects in the DMV region. You will inspect sites, supervise field staff and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and homeowner satisfaction.

The role combines hands-on field work with field-based coordination, focusing on quality, timely closeouts, and accurate field documentation while building strong relationships with homeowners and partners.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in residential construction, remodeling, or field supervision.
• Broad knowledge of construction methods, materials, and workmanship standards across multiple trades.
• Ability to recognize construction defects and recommend practical corrective solutions.
• Experience supervising or inspecting subcontractor work.
• Strong communication skills and professional customer-facing presence.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple field assignments.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and construction management software for field documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Visit active jobsites to inspect workmanship, safety, and progress.
• Identify construction deficiencies and quality concerns before they become customer problems.
• Verify work meets plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Document visits with inspection reports, photos, and observations.
• Verify corrective work and completed punch lists.
• Work with subcontractors to identify problems and communicate corrections.
• Provide field observations and recommendations to Project Managers.
• Help resolve construction challenges and prevent delays.
• Maintain professional relationships with subcontractor partners.
• Represent Blue Collar Scholars professionally during homeowner visits.
• Conduct final walkthroughs and verify projects are ready for completion.
• Address customer questions and elevate unresolved concerns.
• Collect final payments when authorized and appropriate.
• Encourage satisfied customers to share experiences online.
