Job summary

Consigli Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to assist with daily on-site management of construction activities on the project site in Providence, RI. This full-time role reports to the Superintendent & General Superintendent and collaborates with clients, A-E representatives, and subcontractors to maintain safety, schedule, and quality.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 0–5 years of field experience, and OSHA 30

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CM or CE.
• 0–5 years in construction or related field.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Understanding of plans and specifications is essential.

Responsibilities

• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Provide technical assistance on the project, interpret contract drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and schedule updates.
• Understand the project schedule and the critical path.
• Review and provide content for the short-term plan.
• Participate in the quality program including meetings, inspections, and material verification.
• Interface with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and building officials professionally.
• Participate in business development by leveraging contacts for future leads.
• Attend monthly superintendent meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and periodic training.
• Develop skills to become a Superintendent and manage all aspects of a construction project.
