Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Central Texas is seeking a Field Operations Manager to support mechanical and plumbing construction operations across active projects. This position will work closely with the Director of Field Operations, project managers, superintendents, foremen, field employees, recruiting, HR, and company leadership.

The ideal candidate will have Superintendent-level field leadership experience or equivalent knowledge of mechanical or plumbing construction, including piping, plumbing,

Qualifications

• At least five years of mechanical or plumbing construction field experience.
• Superintendent-level field leadership experience or equivalent trade knowledge.
• Strong understanding of mechanical piping, plumbing, ductwork, HVAC systems, and construction sequencing.
• Experience interpreting construction schedules and planning manpower requirements.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of mechanical and plumbing field operations.
• Review project schedules, construction sequencing, manpower requirements, and production information.
• Help maintain Touchplan schedules and other construction planning tools.
• Coordinate manpower needs with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field leadership.
• Assist with moving field employees between projects based on schedules, workforce availability, and operational priorities.
• Communicate manpower changes and employee-placement information to project teams and affected employees.
• Monitor workforce data and help identify staffing gaps, resource conflicts, and changing project requirements.
• Support recruiting and hiring activities by communicating workforce needs and assisting with employee placement.
• Assist with timekeeping, data entry, workforce reporting, and other field-operations administration.
