Job summary

Flip Energy is a remote-first, early-stage company building a residential battery VPP. You own the customer journey from signup to live, including design, procurement, permitting, scheduling, and partnerships with installers. You’ll develop scalable processes and automation as the volume grows.

Ideal candidates have residential solar or battery experience, permitting/interconnection knowledge, and a hands-on, high-ownership mindset. Compensation ranges $95k-$125k with equity.

Qualifications

• Experience with residential solar or battery storage installations and project management.
• Direct permitting and utility interconnection knowledge.
• Ability to adapt standardized designs for site-specific plans.
• Experience negotiating with manufacturers and managing procurement.
• Experience recruiting and managing installer networks.
• Strong PM instincts and organization to run multiple installs.
• Customer-facing communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer from signup to live, dispatch-ready system.
• Own customer qualification and determine fit for Flip system.
• Own engineering design turning standardized designs into site plans.
• Own procurement, negotiate pricing and terms with OEMs.
• Project-manage the install end to end and avoid delays.
• Own permitting and interconnection with utilities and jurisdictions.
• Own scheduling, hardware support, and O&M for customers.
• Build and manage installer network and training.
• Build processes and automations to scale operations.
