Job summary

Abbott Construction in Washington state seeks an Assistant Superintendent to assist field operations through final completion and closeout. You will support the Project Superintendent and coordinate with the Project Manager to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to Abbott’s quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent, 5+ years in commercial construction, strong communication skills, and CMiC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in related construction sector.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Has strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex instructions.
• Two to three year’s prior field experience in commercial construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing field operations to deliver projects through final completion.
• Review Prime Contract & Subcontract plans and develop project plans with schedule, access, resources.
• Procure tools, labor and some materials; drive the project schedule with subs.
• Interact with trade partners, architects and owners to resolve issues in the field.
• Ensure safety and quality per Abbott standards and CMiC/PSMP.
• Act as primary field representative on smaller projects when needed.
