Job summary

Venture General Contracting in Seattle seeks an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support field operations, coordinate project scopes, and keep work moving in accordance with project schedules and documents.

As part of the leadership team, you’ll help direct the project workforce, manage subcontractor scopes, and ensure work is constructed per drawings and specifications, contributing to on-time closeout and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 6+ years of construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam.
• Understanding of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.

Responsibilities

• Provide field updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding progress, schedules, and deadlines.
• Direct the project workforce and coordinate subcontractor scopes to align with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Independently manage multiple scopes of work performed by subcontractors.
• Manage completion of punch lists and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Ensure OSHA and state field insurance forms are properly completed and filed.
