Job summary

Bonsai Robotics is offering a Field Operations Intern position at our Davis, CA test farm. You will work closely with field engineers and robotics developers to run daily testing, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain autonomous agricultural machines in real-world conditions.

This internship is ideal for hands-on students eager to gain practical experience in autonomous systems, robotics, and agtech, with opportunities to collaborate across hardware, software, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Education focus in engineering or agronomy-related field.
• Hands-on aptitude with tools and basic electronics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication within a team environment.
• Ability to work outdoors and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally 50.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily setup, staging, operation, and field testing of autonomous vehicles.
• Maintain a safe, organized testing environment and manage equipment transport.
• Execute test plans to evaluate hardware, software, and machine vision under field conditions.
• Help diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues on test machinery.
• Meticulously document test results and share with engineering teams.
• Support inventory and prep prototype equipment for testing sessions.
