Job summary

You will oversee commissioning/start-up, coordinate a team of operators, ensure safety, and deliver site reports. A Bachelor's in mechanical or chemical engineering and 3-5 years of commissioning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years of commissioning and start-up experience of large capital projects in environmental, construction, oil & gas, chemical, or power industries preferred
• Familiarity with industrial piping systems, water treatment equipment, or distillation equipment is preferred
• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases, Microsoft Office software, etc.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and technical communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience taking responsibility for high level tasks and driving all sub tasks to rapid conclusion with autonomy.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation to the site
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering to support oversight of our design and systems
• Coordinate a dynamic team of operators and field technicians to the site
• Prepare onsite team weekly and daily for tasks to meet project schedule
• Commission and start up new systems focused on technical and project specs
• Inspect equipment on site and document issues carefully
• Follow up with suppliers to remedy equipment issues
• Schedule and coordinate with the customer and other on-site contractors for normal operations
• Provide daily reports to the client and internal project team on site status and progress
• Ensure onsite safety compliance and update Health and Safety plans as applicable
• Organize staffing schedules and review drawings, documents, and equipment on site
• Develop additional technologies and strategies to improve system operation
